At our Annual General Meeting last week, we announced a change to our Club Welfare Team which was unanimously voted in by all members present.
After serving as a Panthers Club Welfare Officer for several years, Margaret Emney has decided to step down from the role. Margaret has made an enormous contribution to the club over this time and she will be sorely missed from the Panthers Management Committee. We send a heartfelt thanks to Margaret for everything that she has done for Panthers over the years!
The great news is that Margaret's husband, Gary Emney, has stepped into her shoes and filled the vacant Club Welfare Officer position! Gary will work alongside our other Club Welfare Officer, Julie Findlay who is well-known to many of you! Like Julie, Gary has many years experience on our Management Committee and has served in many different roles.
Together, Julie and Gary will oversee all aspects of safeguarding and child welfare across the whole club. They are are here to support the coaches, players, parents and Management Committee to ensure that all the appropriate safeguarding procedures are being followed.
If you ever have any concerns about the welfare of a child at the club you can contact them by email at welfare.cmpanthersfc@outlook.com or by phone - their mobile numbers can be found in the Contact section.
PLEASE NOTE: It is a requirement of club membership that all coaches and parents MUST store these numbers in their phones so they are always at hand.
You can find a lot more advice about what to do in the event of a safeguarding concern and read our Safeguarding Policy here.
